One of my earliest memories of singing was once standing alone at the front of a very big church whilst in my teens, and not feeling any fear. I opened my mouth to sing, and what came out was something so different to what I was used to hearing. It was bold and powerful, and filled the church although there was no microphone. I sang “Just as I am without one plea” from my heart to God it was the beginning of my understanding of how God touches my voice when he wants to bless me and others... praise God! It had an impact on me then, and even now, to remind me that it is not just me singing, but it is the Holy Spirit using my voice to minister also. It's a great reminder to keep me in check!
